Terms of Service

Noctis (noctis.ac, the "Service") is owned and operated by St3ix Development and its team ("we", "us"). These Terms apply to the website, the dashboard, the Discord bot, the API and the Noctis Scanner desktop app. You can reach us through our Discord server, linked on noctis.ac, or at contact@st3ix.net.

Noctis is not affiliated with, endorsed by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.

Noctis helps server staff run screenshares. A staff member creates a session and gives a code to a player. The player runs the Noctis Scanner, which checks Minecraft-related files, logs and system traces on their computer and sends the results to the staff member's dashboard.

Scan results are indications, not verdicts. Noctis can produce false positives and can miss cheats. The decision to punish a player is always made by the server's staff, and they are responsible for it.

• You must be at least 16 years old to create a staff account. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy a paid plan.
• Players who run a scan do not need an account.
• You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account and your team's seats.

You may only scan a player who has been told they are being screenshared and who starts the scan themselves. You must not:

• trick anyone into running the Scanner, or use it outside a screenshare;
• use scan results or the network database to harass, dox or publicly shame players;
• add false punishments or false signatures to the network database;
• share, resell or sublicense your account, seats or API access outside your team;
• attack, overload, reverse-engineer or scrape our servers, API or database;
• use Noctis for anything illegal.

We may remove content, suspend accounts or end access when these rules are broken.

By entering a code and starting a scan, you agree that the Scanner checks your Minecraft files, logs and related system traces as described in our Privacy Policy and shares the results with the staff member who created the session. You can close the Scanner at any time; the server decides what happens if a scan is not completed.

The Noctis Scanner's source code is public. The repository and its open-source license are linked on noctis.ac, and that license governs the client code. Our servers, detection database, analysis engine, dashboard and Discord bot are proprietary and are not covered by it. Modified clients may not connect to the Service unless we allow it.

Paid plans and partners can look up punishments and signatures that servers share in the Noctis network. Every punishment is issued, submitted and owned by the server that made it. We are not responsible for punishments, their accuracy or their consequences, and we do not handle appeals: a player who disagrees with a punishment must contact the server that issued it. By submitting a punishment or signature, a server confirms that it is accurate and that it may share it, and allows us to store and show it inside the Service free of charge. We may remove entries at any time.

Paid plans, one-time licences and add-ons are governed by our Payment & Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. The free Partner plan is granted at our discretion and may be changed or ended with 14 days' notice.

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features at any time and announce significant changes on our Discord server or in the dashboard.

Noctis is a tool. We are only responsible for what the Service and the official Noctis Scanner themselves do, and only for the Scanner as downloaded from noctis.ac or our official repository. We are not responsible for how staff, servers or other users use Noctis or its results, including punishments, bans or other decisions based on a scan. We accept no liability for modified, rebuilt or third-party copies of the Scanner.

Mandatory law stays unaffected: we are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise our liability is excluded.

You can delete your account at any time in the dashboard. We can end or suspend access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, with immediate effect where needed to protect players, other customers or the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time and announce changes on our Discord server, on noctis.ac or in the dashboard. By continuing to use Noctis after a change, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using Noctis and cancel your plan.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
